2nd Gen. Tacoma "YotaWerx" Tune

Service Description

Developed by YotaWerx Tuning, LLC, this tune is for a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V6 automatic or manual transmission 2nd Generation (model year 2005-2015) Toyota Tacoma. The 2nd Gen. Tacoma engine control module (ECM) is much simpler than the current 3rd Gen. Tacoma, and access to shift parameters is still encrypted, but fear not 2nd Gen. owners as what we do have access to makes a world of a difference.* Engine parameters on this tune are remapped to provide more power, smoother delivery, and improve throttle response. Combine these together and you get a tune that allows the truck to utilize the factory transmission programming in a more efficient manner leading to improved shifting and better fuel economy. Additional tune options appropriate to vehicle modifications, driving style, and octane preference will be discussed in person with you prior to flash services to further determine the right tune specifications to suit your needs. *Please note that access to the shift tables is still being pursued, and customers will have the option to upgrade in the future if desired. In some cases, the tuner may need to identify the vehicle’s ECU ID and then schedule a follow up appointment for tuning, as some ECU versions have yet to be identified and therefore may not be supported at this time.
