5th Gen. 4Runner "YotaWerx" Tune

Service Description

Developed by YotaWerx Tuning LLC, this tune is for a newer model year (2020+) naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V6 automatic transmission 5th Generation Toyota 4Runner. The new T4R is fortunate enough to have full access to engine tuning and transmission shift parameters. Engine parameters on this tune are remapped to provide more power, smoother delivery, and improve throttle response. Combine these together with access to remap the transmission shift parameters and you get a tune that allows the vehicle to optimize its utilization of power and programming in a more efficient manner leading to improved shifting and better fuel economy. Additional tune options appropriate to vehicle modifications, driving style, and octane preference will be discussed in person with you prior to flash services to further determine the right tune specifications to suit your needs. Customers may also opt for gear lock as an added feature allowing for near total control over the shifting for more discerning drivers. In some cases, the tuner may need to identify the vehicle’s ECU ID and then schedule a follow up appointment for tuning, as some ECU versions have yet to be identified and therefore may not be supported at this time.
