5th Gen. 4Runner "YotaWerx" Tune

Service Description

Developed by YotaWerx Tuning LLC, this tune is for a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V6 automatic transmission 5th Generation (model year 2010 - 2019) Toyota 4Runner. The early 5th Gen. 4Runner engine control module (ECM) is much simpler than the newer model years (2020+), and access to shift parameters is still encrypted, but fear not early 5GT4R owners as what we do have access to makes a world of a difference.* Engine parameters on this tune are remapped to provide more power, smoother delivery, and improve throttle response. Combine these together and you get a tune that allows the vehicle to utilize the factory transmission programming in a more efficient manner leading to improved shifting and better fuel economy. Additional tune options appropriate to vehicle modifications, driving style, and octane preference will be discussed in person with you prior to flash services to further determine the right tune specifications to suit your needs. *Please note that access to the shift tables is still being pursued, and customers will have the option to upgrade in the future if desired. In some cases, the tuner may need to identify the vehicle’s ECU ID and then schedule a follow up appointment for tuning, as some ECU versions have yet to be identified and therefore may not be supported at this time.
